Marisel Melendez is a mother, sister, and daughter.  She works with Las Caras Lindas, a summer mentoring program for girls ages 12-18. Marisel is a member of the writing workshop Neighborhood Writing Alliance hosts at San Lucas Church. “As teenage mother myself,” she says, “I know the trials and tribulations first hand. If one person hears my stories and survives, it’s a blessing from above.”
