At the end of 2009 AREA Chicago had the pleasure of working with our first international intern from the UK, Sarah Smizz. Sarah took on a number of projects to support AREA including developing illustrations of community institutions we hoped to highlight in this issue. These physical spaces are true hubs of culture, politics, and community building in the city and we encourage you to visit each and every one of them.
