Ten AREAs/Five Years

Founded in 2005, AREA Chicago -- Art, Research, Education, Activism -- is a collectively-run magazine and series of events, all documenting, researching, and strengthening social justice practices in our city. To celebrate AREA's fifth anniversary and in honor of USSF 2010, Advisory Board Members selected a few articles, all linked below -- a sort of mini-history, for you to enjoy and to learn more about what we do.
To read more articles, learn more about AREA Chicago, or to get involved, check out the rest of the site or reach out at any time -- and stay tuned for AREA #10, "Institutions and Infrastructures." It's due on paper and electronically later this summer. Thanks, everyone!
